Union trophy gets the Blues

THREE Hawkesbury boys who are part of the rugby union Under 13 Parramatta Two Blues squad celebrated a State carnival win for the second year in a row last weekend.

Players Jake Roberts, Riley Jacobson and Seaton Kenna played played in the final match beating Manly 15-10 for the second year running.

In the lead up games Parramatta had a bye in the first round and in the second round defeated ACT schools 34-0.

The third round saw the boys defeat Gordon 17-3 and in the semi fnial had them beating the much improved Sydney Uni 12-5 under lights in the rain at Wakehurst Rugby Club.

Overall this year the Blues had 73 tries for and five against and have played 27 games without a loss in the past two years.

In what was a memorable presentation, the boys had their medallions and shield presented to them by past Australian Wallaby Captain Nic Farr-Jones.

Parramatta also made two other finals, however, lost them both with the 14s side losing to ACT Provincial 17-5 and in the 11s going down 19-7 to Gordon with the Hawkesbury player Luke Clifton playing a great game.
